We will be performing our mandatory annual inspection of our fire sprinkler system. In order to complete this work our contractor, Western States Fire Protection, will need to enter your apartment on Thursday, May 10th, 2012. They will only need access to your apartment for a short amount of time and will enter between the hours of 9:00 am and 6:00 pm along with a member of our maintenance staff.
Before the inspection:
- Clear items away from fire sprinkler heads inside the apartment
- Clear patio near water heater closet as our staff will need to access this closet
- If your pet will not be ok with staff entering the unit please be sure they are caged appropriately. If you would like maintenance to release your pet upon leaving please leave a LARGE note on the inside of your front door.
During inspection:
- The horns will be going off and on for few seconds all day Unfortunately, we can not specify an exact time but have provided you with an ANTICIPATED schedule below:
9am to 2pm: Floors 1 & 2
1 pm to 6pm: Floors 3 & 4
Again, this is only an anticipated schedule and may change due to any emergencies. As this inspection must be completed in a timely manner there will be NO APPOINTMENTS and staff will not be able to return at a later time.
***If you have disconnected the horn in your unit be sure to reconnect it ASAP. Any horns being disconnected will result in a fine.***

Have You Checked Your Dryer Lint Trap Lately?

If you do not clean the lint filter between dryings, or something else blocks the filter, moist air cannot be vented from the dryer as easily. The result will be that your dryer will work less efficiently – you will have to run your dryer longer to dry a load of clothes, which means higher electricity and gas charges and a shorter lifespan for your dryer.
Keeping the lint filter clean is a one simple way to increase efficiency and lifespan (and decrease the operating costs) of your dryer. Just removing the lint from the filter isn’t always enough – the fine mesh of dryer filters can be clogged in ways that aren’t obvious at a casual glance. Softener sheets can cause waxy build-ups on lint screens that require a little extra effort – usually no more than a quick scrub and rinse in warm, soapy water – to remove.
